Doepfer A-138 b Mixer
Full Description
Logarithmic Potentiometers For Audio Mixing
The Doepfer A-138b is equipped with potentiometers featuring a logarithmic response. This makes them especially suited to mixing audio signals. You can patch your audio signals into inputs 1 to 4, and adjust the relative amount of each signal with the input's respective controls. The entire mixed signal is output through the Out socket.
Input 1 Offset Function
On the Doepfer A-138b's PCB you can find a pin header labelled JP4. This can be used to enable voltage offset for Input 1. By placing a jumper onto JP4 in the right position (towards the edge of the PCB), a positive offset voltage is generated by the In 1 control, providing that nothing is inserted into Input 1. If a jumper is put to JP4 in the left position (direction to the front panel), then a negative offset voltage is generated.
Controls
- In 1: Attenuator for controlling the level for Input 1
- In 2: Attenuator for controlling the level for Input 2
- In 3: Attenuator for controlling the level for Input 3
- In 4: Attenuator for controlling the level for Input 4
- Out: Master attenuator for determining the output level of the mixer. This allows the module to act as the end of the audio chain and interface directly with devices such as amplifiers or mixing desks
Inputs/Outputs
- Input 1: Audio/CV input, channel 1
- Input 2: Audio/CV input, channel 2
- Input 3: Audio/CV input, channel 3
- Input 4: Audio/CV input, channel 4
- Output: Output for the complete mixed signal
